e2tools software package provides utilities for manipulating files in an ext2/ext3 filesystem, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install e2tools
e2tools is installed in your system.
